Wireless networking is a relatively new technology that has been developed to enable networking via the use of radio waves. This new type of networking means that unlike wired networking which requires the use of network cables to set up a network, wireless involves no cables at all.

When a series of computers are on the network a wireless router is required to ensure that the traffic on the network is handled correctly, and any request for a computer on the network is routed back to that PC when the request is returned.
